Our Build Process

Ben wanted to create a designated games room in his garden focused around a pool table as it had been a passion of his for many years. Due to work and bringing up a young family his opportunities to go out in the evening to practice with friends were seriously reduced.
The Project
When he saw he could to have a practice area within his garden and the opportunity to bring his playing level up to the standard he could get back to playing in a pool league again he contacted us.
He wanted to use a local company who could take on the project from start to finish, giving him a turn key finish. He was quite wary of starting another building project after having a bad experience when he had an extension built on his house a few years earlier. Once he could see we would control the entire project from start to finish he became much more relaxed and excited about having his own games room.
Design
We designed the size of studio around the size of a pool table and the area required around it so he could play without any restrictions. We also had to take into consideration the layout of the garden so he still had the ability to keep enough storage space for the everyday garden essentials and kids’ outdoor toys plus retaining rear access to the garden.
After several different designs we came up with the optimum size which would meet Ben’s brief.
Install & Finish
The studio was installed including decorating and flooring and then fitted out with a wall mounted TV for the sports channels, dartboard, bar stools and counter, and a beer fridge so he could invite friends round for pool practice and a bit of socialising at the same time and only had to open his back door and walk to the end of the garden.
